Job Description

UThis is general duty policing work on an assigned shift involving the protection of life and property, enforcement of laws, and investigation of crimes. Work is performed under the supervision of a police officer of higher rank.

Assignments require evaluative thinking and are carried out according to departmental rules, regulations and procedures. The employee has a controlling impact on the prevention of crime within an assigned area. Work requires regular exposure to uncontrolled and/or unpredictable conditions and the frequent exercise of moderate physical effort.
