he Philadelphia Police Department takes advantage of the services offered by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children to assist us in the dissemination of missing children information. By coordinating our efforts with those of this national center we are able to multiply and broaden the effectiveness of our investigative efforts.

While Philadelphia residents can be expected to visit the Philadelphia Police web site, the same cannot be said of citizens from other parts of the country. The NCMEC site, by contrast, is visited by people who reside throughout the country and internationally as well. Clearly, utilizing this resource allows us to share our missing children cases with millions of Americans instead of just the citizens of a single city.

Please refer to this brief tutorial so you can easily view missing children from Philadelphia. Note, it might be helpful if you print this page for reference before visiting the MCMEC web site. Remember, the search form isn't on this page. The samples are taken from the NCMEC site.

Step One
Go to the NCMEC Search Page.

missing kids.org

Step Two
Under the 'Missing Date' section,
enter "40" in the 'Missing in the Last' 'Year(s)' box.

Step Three
Under the 'Missing from' section,
enter "Philadelphia" in the 'City' box.

Step Four
Once you click the blue box the results for Philadelphia will be displayed. Photos include time of disappearance and age progressed. In addition, you can print missing persons posters that can be shared with friends, neighbors and relatives.

If you think you know the whereabouts of any of these children or may have some other information please contact us at address and phone number provided.
