he Violent Crimes/Fugitive Task Force (VCFTF) is a United States
Marshals Service sponsored initiative for the Philadelphia/Camden
High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area (HIDTA). The Philadelphia
Police Department is a longstanding participant in this effort.
Other agencies participating in the VCFTF include the Immigration
and Naturalization Service and the Pennsylvania State Police.
Its mission is to investigate, locate and apprehend fugitives,
with a primary focus on OCDETF, money laundering cases and drug-related/violent
crimes within the HIDTA.
The Task Force primarily focuses on drug-related violent crimes
and illegal criminal aliens involved in trafficking narcotics
in sections of Philadelphia where there are a number of homicides.
The VCFTF coordinates daily with strategies like Operation Sunrise
on tactical de-confliction and case support. The VCFTF seeks to
impact by arrest on the 14,000 narcotics, firearms and robbery
warrants in Philadelphia. The initiative emphasizes cooperation
and dissemination of intelligence to other joint efforts including
the Investigative Support Center.
The Homicide Fugitives website was compiled to assist police
personnel in the identification and location of fugitives wanted
by the participating agencies. It was formulated through a cooperative
effort between the Philadelphia Police Department and the Middle
Atlantic-Great Lakes Organized Crime Law Enforcement Network
(MAGLOCLEN).
This directory of wanted fugitives is also available for the
public to view. The fugitives are considered armed and extremely
dangerous. Should you know or recognize any of the wanted individuals,
do no attempt to question or apprehend. Contact your nearest
police department or call toll free 1-(877) 258-1094.
